Iness is a visual artist working mainly in three spheres; painting, drawing and photography. Indigenous North-African, Iness was born in Paris and raised in Montreal. Her indigenous African culture and the female figure are centered aspects in her artistic practice. Emerging artist, Iness has done academia-related exhibitions and participated in art symposiums. She has a collegial diploma in visual arts and she is now completing her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts majoring in painting and drawing at Concordia University, Montreal. Iness is currently working on a series of cultural self-portraits using a contemporary touch questioning the past and present.
